About me

I am the chief gluttonist for Gluttony in Balance. That all sounds really fancy. In reality, I am a 40-something woman who lives in the suburbs with a husband and a dog. I’m really into wellness, yoga, and mindfulness but I am also into tater tots, wine, and many other indulgences. I am in a constant battle with my contradictory nature, which I guess is all part of the human condition. I love to travel and not be a tourist. I’ll take dive bars over Disney World any day of the week. I also adore cooking (and eating). Nothing makes me happier than a quiet dinner at home with my husband or hosting friends and family. Fox News pisses me off. I don’t align with a particular political party or religion, but follow my heart and mind to determine my beliefs.

I started this blog for no particular reason other than wanting to process the thoughts in my head. Some posts may be happy, some may be sad, some may even be controversial. I’m not here to make everyone happy. If something I write is helpful to someone, then awesome. I also recognize that by putting myself out there that I may piss someone off. Please realize that my intention is never to be hurtful. My intention is to share, and to sometimes vent.
