I wrote a bad yelp review…
I never do that. I am normally very patient with those in the service industry. I get it. I waited tables and bartended for quite some time and I know that people can be assholes.
But…
If you are trying to be a fancy place, charging fancy prices, I expect good service.
I want side plates for my appetizer.
I want cutlery and napkins.
If I order a bottle of wine, I want you to pour it into the wine glasses. I want to taste it and make sure it is ok.
If my friend accidentally breaks a glass, I want you to clean it up so no-one gets hurt.
If I am done eating, I want you to clear my plates within a reasonable amount of time.
If I ask for a condiment or a takeaway box, I want you to bring it.
If the kitchen is backed up, no worries. But come tell me. Refill my water glass and bring some bread or something.
If I say thank you – do not respond with “NO PROBLEM” because yeah it is no problem. I am the customer and I am paying your paycheck.
Ooof. I had to get that out. Now back to your regularly scheduled programming.
